Description
When Joan gave up her baby for adoption in 1972, she could have had no idea what consequences would follow, decades later. When her son, now a man, re-enters her life without warning, tragedy ensues. The life John was forced to lead has left its mark on him and even the love and acceptance of his half sister Sophie, living a comfortable life in Bath, cannot undo the harm already done. This is a domestic thriller exploring nature v nurture, sibling rivalry and abandonment issues. It is a page turner guaranteed to surprise right to the very end. Suitable for all reading groups and with a useful discussion guide.
Paperback, 186 pages.

Enjoyed this book very much. A ‘quick’ read but interesting plot development and well drawn characters.

I just finished reading this book in one day, the story and the characters really captured my attention. All in all, an interesting insight into the issues affecting the lives of this family.
